Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join the mechanical design team on data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile projects.

You will collaborate with staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines to develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, perform load analyses, and ensure designs meet codes and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation tools.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, and offices.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing system layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate mechanical systems in Revit models.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications, select equipment, and consider cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency.
