Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm seeking a Mechanical Designer III to join our Mechanical design team. The role focuses on data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and high-profile construction projects, collaborating with clients, vendors, and other disciplines.

You will develop HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit, perform load analyses, and ensure designs meet codes and energy efficiency standards while coordinating across teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Skills in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, load software, etc.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organization and attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for various projects.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing system layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical and structural engineers, and other disciplines for integrated Revit models.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications and select equipment with cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and assist with record drawings and site work.
