Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Mechanical Designer III for the Lunar Permanence program. You will prepare layouts, release CAD/PLM data, and support design for spacecraft structures in a cross-functional team environment.

The role requires 4+ years in aerospace or similar, proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill, and strong GD&T skills. Collaboration across teams ensures manufacturability and performance in spaceflight hardware.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD.
• 4+ years in aerospace development or similar.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
• Experience designing spacecraft primary/secondary structure.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts, detail parts and assemblies, release data using CAD/PLM.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with specifications and standards.
• Support mechanical layout and detail design for structural parts and assemblies.
• Apply design methodologies to balance cost, schedule and performance requirements.
