Job summary

RTX seeks an established Mechanical Engineer to join the Airborne Sensor RF Design Department in McKinney, TX. The role focuses on mechanical design and documentation of electro-mechanical assemblies, coordinating with suppliers nationwide, and ensuring production goals are met in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering (ABET-accredited) with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years, and must be able to obtain DoD

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical assemblies (or 3+ years with advanced degree).
• Experience with PTC Creo Parametric or other mechanical CAD tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Travel up to 20% to meet program needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures with program and functional leadership to meet production goals.
• Design and document electro-mechanical assemblies; coordinate with internal and external suppliers.
• Work in a multi-disciplined team with IPTL, PM, Supply Chain, and others.
• Travel to external suppliers and Raytheon facilities as needed.
• Apply GD&T principles to design documentation and fabrication.
