Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for the New Glenn landing gear subsystem. You will own the complete lifecycle from concept through qualification and rate production, creating robust, reusable hardware for a rapid- reuse flight cadence.

Requirement includes a BS in mechanical/aerospace engineering with 8+ years of aerospace design experience, Creo/ANSYS, GD&T, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace or related field required.
• 8+ years designing mechanical/electro-mechanical aerospace systems.
• Hands-on experience from concept through qualification on aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own lifecycle of landing gear components from requirements to post-flight serviceability.
• Design deployable structures and mechanisms with reliable deployment and touchdown paths.
• Create drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
