Job summary

CRB, a leading engineering, architecture, construction and consulting firm, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and oversee HVAC and mechanical utility systems for mid-sized projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients, directing tasks and ensuring code-compliant, constructible designs.

You will develop narratives, drawings, and specifications, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with vendors and trade partners.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a mechanical focus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field within AEC firms.
• Professional Engineer registration in good standing.
• Experience designing HVAC/mechanical utility and piping systems; intermediate engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Designs mechanical systems of intermediate complexity in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other design disciplines.
• Manages multiple complex tasks, establishes priorities and directs the work of others.
• Coordinates with architects, engineers, vendors and clients to ensure a coordinated, constructible design.
• Develops construction drawings, specifications and reports for projects of intermediate complexity.
• Supports construction activities including RFI responses, submittal reviews and progress reports.
• Leads design programming and master planning on intermediate projects with support from Design Lead or Senior Engineer.
