Job summary

CRB is seeking a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and mechanical utilities for buildings. You will manage the discipline workstreams, coordinate with partners, and oversee design across all stages from studies to construction administration.

The role requires deep expertise in HVAC systems, extensive field experience, and leadership across teams to ensure project goals and client satisfaction are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 15+ years of experience for Senior Lead position.
• Expert in HVAC, mechanical utilities and piping systems design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISPE, FDA, ISO, NFPA, OSHA).
• Experience leading field surveys and coordinating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages workflows and design/engineering staff to meet client expectations and project goals.
• Coordinates with internal/external parties, manages multiple tasks, sets priorities, directs work.
• Supports proposal development, task identification, man-hour planning, and scheduling for discipline scope.
• Identifies and resolves advanced non-compliant conditions during site walks and field surveys.
• Develops advanced internal mechanical design and training presentations.
• Leads construction document packages and writes specifications on complex projects.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and leads design/project coordination across offices.
