Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will own project performance, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and execution strategies, coordinating with PMs, field teams, and engineering to deliver safe, on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in PM roles within mechanical contracting, with strong HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP expertise, plus a track

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction or MEP contracting.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost controls.
• Ability to read construction drawings and technical docs.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial mechanical construction projects from start to finish.
• Develop project goals, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate activities across PM, field ops, engineering, procurement, and other teams.
• Maintain ownership of project performance, milestones, and contractual requirements.
• Manage change orders, pricing, documentation, and contract modifications.
• Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.
• Drive schedule, quality, and safety; ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Oversee closeout: turnover, warranties, and documentation.
