Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction from preconstruction to closeout. You will own budgets, schedules, procurement, and execution while coordinating with PMs, field teams, BIM/VDC, and procurement to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Strong client communication and safety leadership are essential. You will oversee multiple projects, advance value engineering, and drive profitability while upholding VMG’s standards in

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, mechanical contracting, or with a GC.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping and MEP systems.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Ability to read drawings and coordinate multiple trades.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cost projections; monitor costs and change orders.
• Coordinate with PMs, field ops, engineering, procurement, and BIM/VDC teams.
• Maintain project schedules, milestones, and contractual requirements.
• Manage client relationships and lead project meetings.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects.
