Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a results-driven Senior Sales Specialist for Materials Characterization, field remote across IL, WI and KY. This role requires a strong materials science/chemistry background and proven capital equipment sales experience.

You will prospect, manage accounts, present capabilities, and build relationships while working with regional teams to grow market share and revenue for Molecular Spectroscopy and Thermal Analysis instruments.

Qualifications

• Requires 5-8 years in Materials Science, Chemistry or related field at undergraduate level; or 3-5 years with graduate degree.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time across IL, WI, KY territory; overnight travel may be required.
• Must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in Chicago metro region.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales volume and market share for Materials Characterization portfolio.
• Execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives and account growth.
• Develop and implement business plans for product lines and territories.
• Maintain territory plans, present technical information, and forecast opportunity funnel accurately.
• Cultivate partnerships with customers and suppliers to deliver solutions.
• Provide product support to the sales team and coordinate with service, product specialists and business units.
