Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a results-driven Senior Sales Specialist for Materials Characterization, a field remote role covering IL, WI and KY. You will drive volume sales, expand market share, and manage key accounts with a technical, consultative approach to capital equipment and instrumentation.

The role requires up to 60% travel, residency in the territory (Chicago metro preferred), and a background in materials science or chemistry.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate with 5-8 years experience or Graduate degree in Materials Science, Chemistry or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time throughout the territory.
• Must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in Chicago metro region.

Responsibilities

• Grow Sales Volume.
• Execute a sales plan aligned with region and company objectives, manage current accounts and target new ones.
• Develop and implement business plans for product lines.
• Maintain territory management including CRM updates and accurate forecasts.
• Cultivate partnerships to provide customer solutions.
• Provide product support and coordinate with sales, service and product teams.
