Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to drive volume sales and expand the Materials Characterization portfolio across IL, WI and KY. This field remote role requires deep technical knowledge in materials science and chemistry, with proven capital equipment sales experience.

The role involves identifying new accounts, managing existing relationships, presenting capabilities, and coordinating with product and service teams to achieve territory growth.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate with 5-8 years experience or Graduate degree with 3-5 years experience in Materials Science, Chemistry or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time throughout the territory including overnight travel.
• Must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in Chicago metro region.

Responsibilities

• Grow Sales Volume. Execute a sales plan that is part of the region's and company's strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement business plans. Maintain an effective time and territory management plan and forecast funnel.
• Cultivate partnerships with customers and other suppliers to provide customer solutions.
• Teamwork. Work closely with regional sales team, service team, product specialists, and business units to support customers.
