Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to support aircraft-grade hardware build and assembly across Space Coast facilities. You will develop instructions, review drawings, manage schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality production.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing planning, knowledge of CNC processes, and strong problem-solving skills. Relocation is available; expect a collaborative, safety-focused environment with evolving spaceflight programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years direct manufacturing planning or build support experience.
• Experience with hardware manufacturing: structures, fluid systems, mechanical systems, or avionics.
• Develop work instructions for fabrication, assembly, test, integration, and refurbishment.
• Understand CNC machining processes and related fixturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing work instructions covering fabrication, assembly, test, integration, and refurbishment.
• Review engineering drawings and provide final approval for manufacturing.
• Define and support repair and rework activities.
• Perform root cause analyses for non-conformances and deploy corrective actions.
• Design material handling and packaging to protect hardware during build/test.
• Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout build/test.
• Collaborate with teams across large geographic distances.
• Ensure processes comply with AS9100 quality system.
