Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement manufacturing and production processes for aerospace components across facilities. This role supports integrated supply chain, test operations, safety, quality, and mission assurance teams.

You will translate engineering intent into manufacturing plans and BOMs, write work instructions, and collaborate with MRP systems to ensure data accuracy and efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and procedures, including planning systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into hardware and BOMs and write work instructions.
• Assist Mfg Engineers with work orders, nonconformances, BOM revisions, and tooling maintenance.
• Provide shipside/lineside support on the floor.
• Oversee creation and revision of manufacturing plans for MRP systems.
• Track and communicate manufacturing metrics and schedules.
• Identify process improvements to reduce build time and enhance safety and quality.
