Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking world class Manufacturing Planners to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for aerospace products. You will translate engineering intent into hardware ready for test and flight, support Mfg Engineers, and guide manufacturing plans for MRP systems.

Relocation is available. Available shifts include A (6am-2:30pm) and B (2pm-10:30pm) in Space Coast, FL, with a dynamic startup culture and emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar (3+ Level II, 5+ Level III , 8+ Sr Level).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and procedures, including planning systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).

Responsibilities

• Translating engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
• Support Mfg Engineers in the use of system tools to execute work orders including disposition of nonconformances, redlining work orders, revising BOM, BOM reconciliation, and GSE/Tooling maintenance and procurement.
• Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Provide oversight and guidance for the creation and revision of manufacturing plans to ensure the required information and structure are provided for MRP systems.
• Maintain and communicate manufacturing engineering metrics and schedules.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to reduce build time and improve safety and quality.
