Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Planner III (A Shift) in Merritt Island, FL to lead the development and maintenance of manufacturing plans, BOMs, and work instructions for major production hardware. You will coordinate with suppliers, manage tooling and nonconformances, and support shipboard operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on shop floor involvement, integration of engineering requirements into builds, and cross-functional teamwork to meet schedules and cost targets.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or equivalent required; 7+ years manufacturing planner/production experience or combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of project management, Lean Six Sigma or lean methods.
• Intermediate experience with P6 or other GANTT-style project management tools.
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.; legal right to work.

Responsibilities

• Leads cell-level development and maintenance of manufacturing plans, BOMs, work instructions and illustrations.
• Develops supplier processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing/delivery requirements.
• Reviews supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.
• Develops tooling requirements and initiates tooling orders.
• Leads tooling dispositions and investigations of manufacturing-related issues.
• Participates in producibility assessments and provides input on design and processes.
• Develops work statements and sequencing to support major hardware delivery.
• Maintains internal documents and schedules; provides shipside support.
• Collaborates cross-functionally; may train junior teammates.
