Job summary

Sun America LLC is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead operations at Central Coated Products and Sun America. You will unify standards, drive OEE, manage labor cost, and steer NPD from trial to launch while upholding safety, quality, and food safety in a GMP environment.

You will partner with executive leadership and functions across planning, maintenance, quality, safety, and finance to align production with customer requirements and company goals, requiring hands-on, floor-to-strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Proven track record improving OEE with downtime/loss tracking.
• Proven experience managing manufacturing labor cost, including labor standards and overtime control.
• Experience leading new product introductions from trial through scale-up and launch.
• Experience in a GMP, food-grade, or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong financial acumen with data-driven decision making; advanced Excel skills; ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for manufacturing operations across CCP and Sun America.
• Establish consistent operating expectations, routines, and standards across facilities.
• Maintain floor presence and support performance reviews, staffing, and workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, and compliance with GMP requirements and audits.
• Own OEE performance and drive improvements across lines and sites.
• Manage direct and indirect labor, staffing plans, and overtime control.
• Lead NPD trials, scale-ups, and readiness for new product launches.
• Guide production planning, budgeting, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Develop talent and succession, partnering with HR and site leaders.
• Drive Lean practices, CAPA, 5S, and standard work across both companies.
