Job summary

Amcor in the United States is seeking a senior operations leader to direct and drive manufacturing across multiple locations. The role focuses on safe, profitable operations, quality products and exceptional service, with capital project strategy and supply chain oversight.

You will work with Plant Managers to implement best practices, manage budgets and oversee ERP/SAP initiatives, while developing talent and leading continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of leadership experience, preferably in flexible packaging.
• Demonstrated passion for safety and safety leadership.
• Experience leading a large scope Plant Management, with multiple geographies.
• Experience leading a geographically dispersed team.
• Six sigma certification strongly preferred.
• Strong Customer Service mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of BNA customers, markets and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant safety culture and put safety first in all responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Plant Managers to identify and solve problems and improve productivity, profitability, quality and service levels.
• Address day-to-day operational issues and North America-wide initiatives.
• Drive safety initiatives and improve the work environment with plant managers.
• Oversee multiple sites in North America with capital, program and engineering responsibilities.
• Plan, monitor and support capital improvements across all plants to meet goals.
• Manage budgets for manufacturing operations to hit targets.
• Work with Commercial org to understand obligations, competition, and product profitability.
• Ensure finished product conformance to specs across locations.
• Develop relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• Lead talent development and succession planning with HR Managers.
• Oversee ERP/SAP implementation per roadmap and timelines.
• Support Union Avoidance at non-union facilities
• Provide strategic direction for contract negotiations for organized facilities
• Drive employee engagement at assigned facilities.
