Job summary

Aston Carter is recruiting for a Sr. Accounting Analyst in Blaine, MN. This contract-to-hire role blends accounting with financial analysis to support accurate reporting and insightful business decisions.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to enhance financial visibility, manage cost structures, and drive process improvements, while supporting ERP enhancements and automated reporting.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting and reconciliations.
Advanced Excel skills for reporting, analysis and automation.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial results, variances, and key drivers of performance.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
Develop management reports, dashboards, KPIs, and profitability analyses.
Provide data-driven insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
Analyze inventory, manufacturing variances, and product costs to support cost management.
Prepare journal entries and perform month-end close activities.
Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
