Job summary

Aston Carter in Osseo, MN, is seeking an Accounting Manager for a contract role onsite. You will lead daily accounting operations, manage the monthly close, and provide actionable financial insights to operations and leadership.

You will supervise a growing accounting team, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with production and supply chain to drive cost accuracy and robust reporting. This position requires strong Excel skills and manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with inventory accounting.
• Experience with standard costing.
• Experience with financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Oversee monthly close process, including preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements.
• Manage inventory accounting and standard costing to ensure accurate COGS and inventory valuation.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant, accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and production to provide financial insights.
• Collaborate with executive leadership for financial analysis supporting strategic objectives.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with variance analysis and recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff to improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
