Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead day-to-day AP in a Minneapolis, MN-based role. The position supports procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and strong internal controls.

This contract-to-hire opportunity involves mentoring a team of 23 AP specialists and driving process improvements in a high-growth setting. The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and problem-solving in a manufacturing context,

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in accounts payable.
• At least 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Experience with three-way matching (POs, receipts, invoices).
• Experience with PO-based payments and vendor reconciliations.
• Industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP, data reconciliation).
• Experience supporting month-end close and audits.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable processing and vendor payments.
• Manage invoice approvals, payment workflows, and payment runs.
• Perform and review vendor reconciliations; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Handle AP issues, disputes, and vendor inquiries.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance to resolve PO-related discrepancies.
• Improve AP processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and accruals.
• Assist cash flow forecasting with payment timing information.
• Prepare AP-related reporting for stakeholders and leadership.
• Respond to audit requests and ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Implement and maintain three-way matching processes.
• Oversee payment processing for PO and non-PO invoices.
• Lead and develop a team of AP Specialists (23).
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
• Leverage Excel for data analysis and reconciliation.
• Support ERP and AP automation adoption.
