Job summary
Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own process details, routings, BOMs, time studies, and engineering changes for the weld and fabrication area across business units at a new Murfreesboro facility. You will review releases, propose new equipment and tooling, and provide shop support to improve collaboration between Engineering and Operations.
The role reports to the Chief Engineer - Operations and requires strong experience in manufacturing engineering, lean
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering roles.
- Experience with welding aluminum and steel; Lean tools familiarity.
Responsibilities
- Serve as SME for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Coach engineers/technicians to uphold manufacturing excellence.
- Lead/partially lead projects using lean/six sigma to improve processes.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on equipment/tooling changes.
- Support weld/fab department across business units.
