Job summary

Jobot is recruiting a Sr Manufacturing Engineer in Knoxville, TN, on-site. The role demands extensive shop-floor experience and a strong background in lean manufacturing, process design, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce costs and improve safety and quality.

You will lead process improvements, mentor teams, and partner with QA and Program Engineers to ensure robust, compliant manufacturing methods for new products.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of proven manufacturing engineering experience driving process integration and process improvement.
• Experience leading and improving a manufacturing process both independently and in teams.
• Practical knowledge of mechanics, physics, hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, machine design/operation, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design and cost planning for new product launches.
• Direct production line support with KPI-driven improvement actions.
• Collaborate with QA and Quality Engineering to plan, execute and document countermeasures for quality issues.
• Mentor and train production and engineering staff; ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO standards.
• Translate customer specifications into financially sound manufacturing methods and processes.
