Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our Murfreesboro, TN facility. You will oversee detailed manufacturing processes, sequence workflows, and BOMs for welding and fabrication, collaborating across Engineering and Operations to improve efficiency and throughput.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer - Operations, you will support new equipment evaluations, tooling, and shop floor guidance while ensuring lean practices drive continuous improvements and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field required.
• Five or more years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with welding aluminum and steel and lean tools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and CAD (Siemens NX) is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for selected manufacturing processes.
• Coach engineers and technicians to achieve manufacturing excellence.
• Lead or support complex projects involving lean improvements and cost savings.
• Manage equipment capitalization and responses to project-related POs.
• Provide technical guidance for production and tooling needs.
• Update ERP data to ensure cost and labor accuracy.
