Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Conyers, GA to drive operational excellence across assembly, fabrication, and electrical panel assembly. You will lead major transformation programs, deploy Lean methodologies, and manage capital projects to improve productivity and costs.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong Lean Six Sigma background, and experience with CapEx and PFMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a technical field and 7+ years in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong background in Lean Six Sigma, standard work, line balancing and capacity planning.
• Experience leading CapEx projects from justification through installation.
• Proficiency with PFMEA, DOE, and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean deployment and sustainment of OpEx model across assembly, fabrication and electrical panel areas.
• Plan and execute Kaizen events to reduce waste, improve quality and cycle times.
• Use PFMEA, 8D, and DMAIC to identify and prevent defects in manufacturing processes.
• Drive Capital Expenditure projects from concept to handover and ROI justification.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost targets.
