Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA seeks a Manager, Production - 2nd Shift to lead safety-first manufacturing operations across multiple lines with ~280 team members. You will schedule daily and weekly production, balance labor, drive continuous improvement via OpEx, Lean, Kaizen, and ensure on-time delivery while fostering a high-performance culture.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent, 10+ years of leadership, 5–7 years in high-volume plants, and strong ERP/MES experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years hands-on manufacturing leadership experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of managing large organizational structures (200+ headcount).
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Toyota Production System (TPS) experience.
• ERP/MRP/MES systems proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion a Safety First culture with a strong safety-first mindset on the floor.
• Own the daily/weekly production schedule to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional alignment with Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics.
• Drive KPI accountability for Efficiency, Scrap Rate, First-Time Yield and Plan vs. Actual output.
• Directly manage and develop 5 Production Supervisors and oversee a 260+ person workforce.
• Lead labor planning, overtime tracking, and staffing adjustments for demand-driven needs.
• Co-lead OpEx initiatives (SW/LSW/Tier) and Kaizen events to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Collaborate on area transformations and build-in-quality culture (jidoka).
