Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Conyers, GA to drive operational excellence across assembly, fabrication and electrical panel assembly. You will lead Lean deployments, Kaizen events, and capital projects to improve productivity, quality and cost targets.

The role demands 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, a BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial engineering, and hands-on experience with PFMEA, DFM, and CAPEX management within a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience with PFMEA, Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean deployment and sustainment of OpEx models across areas.
• Plan and execute Kaizen events to reduce waste and cycle time.
• Use PFMEA and Poka-Yoke to identify and prevent quality issues.
• Conduct line balancing, headcount and capacity analyses for production.
• CapEx management from justification to installation and ROI/NPV analysis.
• Lead automation initiatives and plant layout changes for new products.
• Collaborate with Design teams on manufacturability and cost.
• Drive problem solving using structured methods (8D, DMAIC).
