Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer to lead projects across extended value streams, providing manufacturing support from early development through production transition.

The role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years in manufacturing, experience with process development, and the ability to obtain interim and final DoD security clearances; it is an onsite position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant manufacturing production experience.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Ability to obtain interim SECRET U.S. government security clearance.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance (secret).
• Experience with programs requiring special program access.

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
• Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers.
• Apply manufacturing engineering skills across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs.
• Participation in design for manufacturing activities.
• Manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure factory readiness.
