Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer for its Tucson, AZ site. You will lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams, providing manufacturing support from the early development phases through transition to production.

The role requires a STEM degree and 5+ years in manufacturing, with process development experience and the ability to obtain interim U.S. government security clearance and secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance and interim Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams, providing manufacturing support from early development through transition to production.
• Establish and execute the manufacturing plan, influencing program decisions to support the value stream.
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions and labor standards.
• Provide technical input and problem solving to design and production teams.
• Drive producibility improvements to meet cost, quality and schedule goals.
