Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Development Engineer for our Tucson, AZ facility. This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and strong manufacturing process expertise.

You will lead projects across extended value streams, develop Manufacturing Data Packages, review designs, and drive producibility improvements with cross-functional teams. The position emphasizes hands-on engineering, lean practices, and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing production and process development.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret clearance and ATF access.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams and build stakeholder relationships.
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages including assembly instructions and labor standards.
• Provide technical input to engineering designs and guidance to factory engineers.
• Improve producibility and resolve constraints across the program.
