Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Sr Mfg Systems Engineer – Automation to support Clinical & Commercial Drug Product Plant Automation within the MCS‑F&E Automation team.

You will develop and maintain process control automation solutions using Rockwell and Siemens PLC, HMI, and SCADA, and lead root cause analysis, incident investigations, and problem resolution related to process control issues. The role includes 24/7 on-site/on-call support and cross‑facility collaboration.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s with manufacturing automation experience.
• Extensive experience with Rockwell and Siemens automation systems.
• Familiarity with GMP, 21 CFR Part11 and validation documentation.
• Ability to lead root-cause analysis and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis and investigations.
• Support NPI and technology introductions with automation assessments.
• Provide continuous improvement in safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain data integrity and collaborate across plant network.
