Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer: Automation - BAS/PLC to provide technical leadership for automation engineers supporting GMP Drug Substance Plant Operations. You will work with the Facilities & Engineering Automation team to deliver robust building automation and PLC systems for the new FleX Batch facility.

You will contribute to design, start-up, and operational readiness, collaborating across cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, ASTM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive engineering experience with building automation, BAS, PLC-based systems.
• Familiarity with GMP environments and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation leadership to engineers supporting GMP Drug Substance Plant Operations.
• Deliver robust BAS and PLC-based controls for new plant construction and operation.
• Collaborate with capital projects to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
