Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer focused on automation for the new drug substance facility. This role provides technical leadership to a team of automation engineers, delivering BAS and PLC-based solutions for building automation and process control in a GMP environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong automation background, experience with commissioning/validation, and a track record of improving operational reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering; multiple years of engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and PLC-based control.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/Quality systems and data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation technical leadership to a group of automation engineers.
• Lead development and execution of commissioning and qualification plans for BAS and PLC systems.
• Own system administration, maintenance procedures, and changes for automation equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement for utility and building equipment, including safety and reliability.
