Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to lead automation for BAS and warehouse systems at the U.S. site. You will oversee maintenance leadership, implement PLC/SCADA/HMI solutions, and ensure GMP compliance while collaborating across plant networks to improve reliability and efficiency.

The role emphasizes data integrity, root-cause analysis, and driving safety and environmental improvements within a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Automation-focused engineering in a GMP biopharmaceutical environment.
• Experience with reliability concepts (RCM/TPM) and process control.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance of automation systems for GMP assembly, packaging and warehouse.
• Coordinate contractors and own the Maximo CMMS for locations/assets.
• Develop control automation using PLCs, HMI, SCADA; implement improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and safety/compliance efforts.
• Support capital projects and expansion in collaboration with site teams.
• Ensure data integrity and adherence to GMP/cGMP policies.
