Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team in Specialty Pharmacy. You will own architectural design, modernize platforms, and deliver cross-functional software releases across geographies.

You will partner with Strategy, Operations and Product leaders to shape a multiyear tech strategy, drive value streams, and ensure high-quality software advances while mentoring teams and hiring top talent. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

7+ years of Software Development experience with Agile methods.
5+ years building microservices using Python and Java (Spring Boot).
3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote software teams.
3+ years containerization with Kubernetes and Docker.
2+ years cloud experience (GCP preferred).
1+ years working with Agentic AI / generative AI tools.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of specialty pharmacy technology assets.
Improve software engineering practices, operational efficiency, time-to-market and quality.
Mentor engineering teams across multiple locations and geographies.
Manage hiring, performance, career growth and goal setting.
Collaborate with Business, Product and Tech partners to support roadmaps.
Coordinate with onshore/offshore vendors to staff projects.
Research and shape a long-term technology strategy with healthcare focus.
Travel up to 10% within the United States when needed.
