Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Senior Manager, Litigation Docketing to lead the firm’s US docketing function across multiple jurisdictions. The role oversees a centralized team, sets standards, and drives efficient docketing services with a focus on accuracy and continuity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of litigation docketing, calendaring, or case management in a law firm or similar legal environment.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 10 years of relevant experience in litigation docketing, legal operations, or a related legal environment and 3+ years of leading docketing staff.
Experience supporting litigation practices across multiple jurisdictions and offices; centralized docketing experience preferred.
Knowledge of federal, state, appellate, and administrative court rules, procedures, and filing requirements.
Strong expertise with litigation docketing and calendaring software such as Milana.
Experience upgrading or optimizing litigation docketing and calendaring software platforms.
Advanced ability to interpret court rules and perform complex deadline calculations.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop teams, manage priorities, and drive operational excellence.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive client and firm information.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of US litigation docketing across jurisdictions.
Establish and enhance docketing procedures, workflows, training resources, and best practices.
Monitor court rule changes and ensure processes remain current.
Assess staffing, workflows, service levels, and operational needs; implement improvements.
Partner with legal support leadership to align docketing operations with the firm’s strategy.
Mentor and develop docketing professionals and manage workload and cross-training.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and workforce planning.
Establish quality control procedures and governance for docketing data.
Serve as escalation point for complex deadline calculations and docketing inquiries.
Promote consistency and standardization across offices and jurisdictions.
Oversee administration and optimization of docketing platforms; collaborate on system upgrades.
Monitor system performance and data integrity; drive adoption and improvements.
Support change management through training and communication.
