Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks an experienced Global Risk Manager based in Ohio with monthly/quarterly office visits in Dublin. You will lead domestic and international casualty programs, manage captive and reinsurance, coordinate actuaries, and guide risk-related strategy across departments.

You will analyze exposures, negotiate with brokers and insurers, and prepare budgets and risk reports, driving cost efficiency and compliance. A strong background in risk governance and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• 8+ years risk management experience with captive experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize resources and manage multiple activities.
• Excellent oral and written communication for senior management.
• Proficiency in Excel; SAP experience preferred; RMIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international primary casualty programs and non-products umbrella, including renewals and regulatory compliance.
• Renew submissions and underwriting inquiries; coordinate with brokers and carriers.
• Direct brokers in renewal strategies and coverage negotiations; maintain market relationships.
• Support captive insurance company and captive reinsurance arrangements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with actuaries on quarterly reserve analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
• Prepare cost reports, budgets/forecasts and allocation of premium and retained risk costs.
• Serve as RMIS system administrator and project contributor.
• Perform due diligence on acquisitions and integration into insurance programs.
• Identify new risk exposures and advise retention vs transfer.
• Review contracts to mitigate risk and draft indemnification provisions.
• Lead risk management projects and initiatives.
