Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Manager of Global Risk Management based in Ohio with the ability to work from home and come into the Dublin office monthly for key meetings. You will oversee domestic and international casualty programs, manage brokers, and collaborate with actuaries and senior leaders on risk strategies.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years in risk management, with strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years risk management experience; captive experience preferred.
• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to support decisions.
• Interpret applicable laws, regulations and contracts.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to present data clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel; SAP experience preferred; Origami RMIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international primary casualty programs including fronted miscellaneous professional liability and non-products umbrella.
• Renew insurance policies, present risk to underwriters, negotiate terms and conditions, ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate renewal submissions and underwriting inquiries with brokers.
• Direct brokers in renewal strategies, carrier selection, negotiating coverage and premiums.
• Build relationships with worldwide insurance markets to ensure capacity for exposures.
• Provide primary day-to-day support for the captive insurance company and work with external captive manager.
• Work with actuaries on quarterly reserve analyses and report results to stakeholders.
• Prepare risk management reports including costs, budgets/forecasts, and historical loss data.
• Act as RMIS system administrator.
• Perform due diligence for acquisitions and integrate new businesses into insurance programs.
• Identify new risk exposures and advise on retention vs. transfer.
• Review contracts to mitigate risk via insurance provisions and indemnification terms.
• Lead and participate in risk management projects.
