Job summary

Qualifications

• Six years of tax research experience and advice on multi-state issues.
• Eight years of payroll and unemployment tax experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA/JD/LLM/Enrolled Agent or CPP designations required or to be obtained within a year.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify refund opportunities for clients.
• Advise clients on payroll reporting, tax remittance, and penalty abatement.
• Assist with SUI tax rate increases analysis and verification.
• Review worker classification retroactively and prospectively.
• Support federal, state, and local employment tax audits.
• Oversee large client projects and liaise with local leadership.
