Job summary

Save the Children US seeks a Manager of Parent, Family and Community Engagement (PFCE) to lead ERSEA data, family development services and community partnerships for Head Start programs. You will oversee staff, ensure enrollment targets, and strengthen family engagement through training and collaboration with centers and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development, social work, adult learning or a related family/human services field with 3+ years of experience.
  • Ability to travel 40% in-state for the role.
  • Experience managing family services for young children and families, including supervision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and strong English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with staff and community partners to deliver high‑quality services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate data collection, entry, reporting and maintenance for family development services.
  • Supervise FSCs if in a supervisory role or provide technical support as needed.
  • Ensure staff hires meet credential requirements and ERSEA records are maintained.
  • Monitor enrollment, vacancies and funded slots; ensure 10% of enrolled children have special needs.
  • Track attendance and follow up with families; visit classrooms regularly to support parent engagement.
  • Develop and monitor volunteer programs and Family Partnership Agreements with families.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff and parents on PFCE, family outcomes, and partnerships.
  • Serve asCorporate Secretary of the Head Start Policy Council and support meeting logistics.
  • Deliver staff trainings, assist with policy council meetings, and monitor program quality.
