Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to own payroll, benefits, LTIP, and restructuring accounting while leading a team of two. You’ll oversee month-end and quarter-end closes, prepare journal entries, reconcile balances, and partner with Finance, HR, and Legal to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls.

You will drive automation and AI adoption, using Oracle Financials with Gemini and Claude, and ensure policies and workflows are well documented.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of accounting experience in a large public or global company.
• CPA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or similar ERP.
• Advanced Excel and data-handling skills.
• Experience using automation and AI to improve processes.
• Ability to influence and communicate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee accounting and close activities for payroll, benefits, LTIP and restructuring accounting.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for non-personnel accounting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses under US GAAP and SOX.
• Maintain and strengthen SOX controls and documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, FP&A, Legal, Procurement, and Finance Systems.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors.
• Drive automation and AI adoption using Oracle and tools like Gemini/Claude.
• Document and improve accounting policies and workflows.
• Support controllership initiatives and special projects as needed.
