Job summary

Vertiv, based in Westerville, OH, seeks a Senior Manager, Commercial Estimating for MVS & LVS to lead cost engineering across multiple product lines. You will guide estimation activities, apply tools, and ensure competitive, technically sound quotes that meet customer requirements.

You will collaborate with Sales, Application Engineering, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve accuracy and profitability, while coaching managers and developing teams for ongoing leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with strong estimating foundations.
• 10+ years experience in electrical power distribution including estimating and cost engineering.
• 5+ years people management and leadership of managers or multiple teams.
• Experience with medium voltage and low voltage switchgear and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Commercial Estimating organization and subordinate teams to deliver clear, cost-effective proposals.
• Oversee estimating activities, equipment selections, and technical calculations across MV/LV switchgear, busway, and related gear.
• Ensure consistent use of the Quote Configurator and estimating tools.
• Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and staffing alignment across teams.
• Coach leaders, review performance, and drive continuous improvement in estimates and profitability.
• Review customer specs and RFPs to align estimates with requirements and schedules.
