Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Estimating for MVS & LVS to lead cost analysis across multiple product lines, including MV/LV switchgear and switchboards, ensuring accurate, timely estimates and competitive pricing. You will manage two subordinate managers and guide teams through RFPs and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree and related experience in electrical power distribution or cost engineering.
• At least 10 years in electrical power distribution including estimating or proposals.
• At least 5 years leading managers or multiple teams.
• Experience with MV/LV switchgear and related equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Commercial Estimating organization and subordinate teams.
• Oversee estimating activities and technical calculations for MV/LV switchgear and related assets.
• Ensure consistent use of the Quote Configurator and estimating tools.
• Assist in hiring and staffing for Cost Engineering leadership roles.
• Coach and develop Cost Engineers on products, tools, and workflows.
• Support performance reviews and provide feedback on technical and pricing performance.
• Review customer specs and RFPs to ensure estimates meet requirements and profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve questions.
• Drive continuous improvement of cost engineering standards and processes.
• Maintain positive team culture aligned with safety, integrity, and quality.
• Perform other duties as required.
