Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Commercial Estimating Manager to lead the estimating team in delivering accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for Busway applications. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure sound proposals and strong profitability.

The role emphasizes coaching, performance reviews, and continuous improvement of estimating standards and tools across multiple locations. Strong leadership and technical insight are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in electrical power distribution, including estimating, cost engineering, or technical proposals.
• 3+ years of people management leading managers or multiple teams.
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, specs, RFPs, and scope documents into cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the Commercial Estimating team to develop clear, concise, and cost-effective solutions based on customer requirements and RFPs.
• Oversee cost estimating activities, equipment selections, and technical calculations for Busway applications.
• Ensure consistent use of the Quote Configurator and estimating tools for accurate quotes.
