Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Commercial Estimating Manager in Atlanta to lead the estimating team and provide leadership, technical guidance, and cost analysis support throughout quotation and sales processes for LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and busway.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve estimating accuracy, maintain sound proposals, and drive profitable quotes while mentoring Cost Engineers and supporting onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power distribution and estimating.
• 3+ years of people managment experience.
• Experience with medium/high voltage switchgear, switchboards, busway.
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, specs, RFPs, and project scope documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the Commercial Estimating team on cost-effective, technically sound estimates.
• Oversee estimating activities, equipment selections, and technical calculations for LV/LV switchgear and busways.
• Ensure consistent use of the Quote Configurator for accurate quotes.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new Cost Engineers.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to Cost Engineers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve cost, pricing, and technical questions.
