Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Manager for multi-discipline support in the Combustion Devices engineering and product team. You will set directions, develop team members, and oversee both in-house and supplier activities across design, fabrication, and testing of combustion device components for BE-4 and related programs.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 8+ years of aerospace industry or related field experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment and drive delivery goals.
• Proven commitment to developing engineering talent through coaching and mentoring.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, supply chain, and materials processing including machining, welding, brazing, and additive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
• Demonstrated experience leading Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Proven understanding of production processes.
• Familiarity with data analysis and data processing.
• Demonstrated success with corrective action implementation.
• Consistent track record of leading teams and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote process improvement and development across component life cycles to support on-rate product delivery.
• Oversee hiring, performance management, training, and career development for the team.
• Provide technical support across engine test planning, execution, and development cycles; drive hardware improvements.
• Support in-house and supplier activities in design, fabrication, and testing of combustion device components for customers.
• Contribute to design, manufacturing, and test support; perform data reviews and test readiness reviews; investigate anomalies and root causes.
• Drive continuous improvement in technical processes, requirements, and tooling for the BE-4 program.
