Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manager of multi discipline support in Combustion Devices to set technical directions and develop teams for engines and propulsion systems. You will lead a team delivering hardware for ULA and New Glenn and manage design, fabrication, and testing across the component lifecycle.

The role emphasizes people management, process improvement, and data-driven decision making, with focus on engine test planning, development cycles, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 5+ years of aerospace industry or related field experience, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment delivering hardware.
• Commitment to developing engineering talent through coaching and mentoring.
• Strong technical fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, and materials processing.
• Knowledge of GD&T and CAD tools.
• Experience leading DF Manufacturing processes and production optimization.
• Data analysis, RCA, and corrective action experience.
• Ability to travel up to 15% and U.S. citizen or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team for combustions devices.
• Direct technical support across design, fabrication, and testing throughout lifecycle.
• Champion process improvements and drive on-rate product delivery.
• Coordinate in-house and supplier activities for engine components.
• Oversee training, hiring, and career development for team members.
• Support anomaly investigations and root cause analyses.
