Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive program delivery for propulsion systems in the Engines business unit. You will manage a dedicated team, deliver product elements, and ensure quality while controlling cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading teams to deliver complex engineering products.
• B.S. degree in Engineering or technical field; or demonstrated leadership in engineering teams.
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field, with propulsion systems experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Basic knowledge across requirements negotiation, design, analysis, manufacturing, testing and vehicle integration.
• Strong communication skills across all organization levels.
• Ability to earn trust and foster an inclusive culture.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope with scrappy, cost-effective execution and deliverables.
• Identify and manage technical and programmatic risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to drive product cost and delivery.
• Track team execution and unit cost / life cycle cost.
• Create data framework to monitor key project metrics.
• Develop and oversee technical plan aligned with customer requirements and internal criteria.
• Own lifecycle from development to qualification and production for cost-optimized flight operations.
• Lead interdisciplinary engineering tasks for system success.
• Ensure quality of engineering outputs and provide technical guidance.
