Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking a Manager of multi-discipline support for Combustion Devices engineering and product teams. You will set technical directions, develop staff, and enable in-house and supplier activities across design, fabrication, and testing of combustion device components for ULA and New Glenn programs.

You will own hiring, performance management and career development, while improving technical processes and tool sets for engine test planning, execution, and development cycles.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred).
• 5+ years aerospace industry or related field experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to developing engineering talent via coaching and mentoring.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, supply chain, and materials processing (machining, welding, brazing, additive).
• Knowledge of GD&T and CAD tools; experience with DFM.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and U.S. citizenship or eligible status.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage performance, train, and develop team members.
• Provide day-to-day direction and support for engine test planning and development.
• Lead lifecycle support for combustion device components including design, manufacturing, and test support.
• Perform data reviews, test readiness reviews, anomaly investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate with in-house and supplier partners to deliver hardware improvements on schedule.
• Foster process improvement across all phases of the component life cycle.
