The Senior Manager will supervise operations managers and staff, drive process improvements, and partner with contracts, billing, IRB, and central offices to ensure timely, accurate budgets and payments for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare, related field, or equivalent in education and experience.
• Five or more years of experience developing and negotiating budgets and payment terms.
• Prior experience in clinical research and/or billing compliance required.
• Detail-oriented with ownership of work.
• Ability to manage time, multi-task, and prioritize work.
• Strong computer skills using browsers and Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory functions for operations managers, operations specialists, and support specialist roles.
• Collaborate with leadership to keep office procedures aligned with study life cycle processes (research finance, contracts, sponsored programs, billing compliance, IRB).
• Serve as primary liaison between department investigator and central office on pre-award budget and payment terms.
• Develop internal budgets using internal billing grid and ensure all procedures and fees are accounted for.
• Negotiate with sponsors to finalise reimbursements.
• Collaborate with OSR Contracts to incorporate budgets into final research agreements.
• Enter finalized budgets into Clinical Research Management System with visit descriptions, payments, and reimbursable items.
• Review amendments for budget/contract impact and initiate processes when necessary.
• Contribute to strategies to improve unit operations and KPIs.
• Train and mentor Operations staff.
• Negotiate master rate cards with Industry sponsors for admin fees and standard procedures.
• Assist with reducing study startup timelines.
